Want better traffic alerts? Then please use the GPS tracker.

We would like to provide you with even better traffic alerts and to do that, we need your help. Rather than just telling you that there is heavy traffic on the road ahead, we would like to be able to tell you how much slower vehicles are moving through that location compared to average. Wouldn't it be nice if you had an estimate on how much longer it would take if you choose to pass through the congested area rather than take an alternative route? Last but not least we would like to be able to report traffic jams as they happen and possibly even predict them in the future.

So how can you help? simple, please start using the GPS tracker component built into our Android app. It will provide us with a better picture of the congestion which we will naturally share back with you. We are aware that many people are reluctant to use GPS apps because they drain the phone battery very quickly. We wish we could say that our app does magic and can record your track without draining the battery, it can't but we have done lots of work on making sure that the battery drain is minimized. Even on inexpensive phones the tracker can be used for about 4 hours (at one second updates) without killing the battery. So it will have minimal impact on the short trip from home to office.

So please help us help you avoid the traffic and cut down on your fuel bills. Just tap the 'new trip' item on the app's actionbar the next time you are travelling.
